The Acushnet-Fairhaven Basketball League (AFBL) is open to all children who either reside or attend school in Acushnet or Fairhaven.  

Our program focuses on fundamental skill development, teamwork and good sportsmanship.

AFBL's goal is to provide all children with a fun experience that will enable them to learn the game of basketball in a competitive environment.

The recreational youth league is open to boys and girls who are in grades 3-8.  There is one game and practice each week starting in late October and ending before February School vacation. 

Our Instructional program is open to boys and girls in Grades 1 and 2. This program meets on Saturday mornings beginning in November and ending in early February.

Our select, boys and girls competitive travel teams play in the MetroWest Basketball League. The League games are on the weekends against other towns that are in a 50-mile radius.  The season runs from Early December into March.

We are also home to the Jason Nightlinger Winter Jam Tournament which runs every year in March and is open to all local town and travel teams.
